Alright, gather round, because I'm about to introduce you to the ultimate party trick for the back of your arms. You know that wobbly bit that keeps waving goodbye long after you've stopped? Yeah, we're going to make that thing firm up like a drum. You grab those parallel bars and hoist yourself up with your arms nearly locked out, standing tall and proud like you just won an award for outstanding vertical achievement.
The secret sauce here is keeping that torso completely vertical -- no leaning, no funny business. Your elbows need to stay glued to your sides like they owe your ribs money. You descend until your upper and lower arms form a perfect right angle, which is approximately when your triceps start screaming for their lawyer. Then you press back up, driving through the backs of your arms until you're locked out again.
What makes this movement so devastatingly effective for your triceps is that strict upright posture. The moment you start leaning forward, your chest muscles try to steal the spotlight, and nobody invited them to this show. Keep it vertical, keep those elbows tucked, and your triceps will get more work than a short-order cook during the breakfast rush. Beginners, don't be discouraged if you can only manage a few at first -- even a couple of these bad boys will have your arms feeling like they've been through a serious negotiation.
