The Chin-Chaser Pull with Solo Iron

Listen up, because we're about to do a move that sounds simple but has more subtle details than a conspiracy theory. Stand tall, one hand holding a weight in front of your thigh, arm mostly straight with just a whisper of bend at the elbow. Your other hand can chill at your side, grab your waist, or cling to something stable — whatever helps you feel less like a human teeter-totter.
Now here's the trick: you're going to drag that weight straight up the front of your body, keeping it hugging your torso like it owes you money. The elbows are the stars of this show — they should lead the charge upward and stay higher than the hands at all times. If your forearms outrun your elbows, you've turned this into a bicep curl, and the biceps already have plenty of work, thank you very much.
Pull until the weight reaches roughly chin height. Pause there for a second and really clamp down on those side delts and upper traps — they're the ones doing the heavy lifting here, literally. Then lower with patience, not with the enthusiasm of someone dropping a hot potato.
Finish all your reps on one arm before switching. This single-side approach means you'll quickly discover which shoulder has been freeloading, and you can give it the individual attention it desperately needs.
