The Double Weight Power Sweep SCAN DEPTH: 100%

Mechanism · Protocol Notes

Begin standing tall with a dumbbell in each hand, your feet positioned at roughly shoulder width apart. You lower those weights toward the floor by hinging at your hips and bending your knees, pushing your backside backward until the dumbbells touch down. That low position is where the magic begins, my friends.

To ignite the movement, you jump upward with explosive ferocity, extending through your hips, knees, and ankles to accelerate those weights skyward. Keep a neutral grip on the dumbbells and let your arms hang straight until you reach full body extension -- you're essentially turning yourself into a human catapult, and the weights are the payload.

After reaching full extension, you quickly drop your hips and knees again to receive the weights in a squatting position, allowing your arms to bend and guiding the dumbbells toward your shoulders. From that catching position, you stand up by extending your hips and knees, finishing tall with the weights resting on your shoulders like trophies. This movement is a full-body explosion that taxes your legs, hips, back, and arms all at once, making it one of the most efficient strength-building exercises you can perform with just a pair of dumbbells and a healthy disregard for comfort.
